The image of the tree and bird was the cover to my first ever chapbook "Thickets of Mayapple: Letters for Edward" and the image of the cracked pavement was the cover of Adrian Manning's chapbook called "wide asleep, fast awake". Both of these chapbooks were published by Kendra Steiner Editions out of San Antonio, TX. For more information about these books and others, you can visit this site: http://kendrasteinereditions.wordpress.com/
These images appeared in Issue 36 of Poesy Magazine that hails out of Santa Cruz, CA. This magazine is a nicely done perfect bound book filled with poetry, interviews, reviews and black and white photography and art. It was my pleasure to be included in this book. The reading went very well and I made some new connections in Canada. I was also invited to Umi Cafe in Ottawa's Chinatown. Umi is a cooperative coffee house that only sells fair traded beans. That night I read there was a fundraiser for Organic Farmers of Ottawa and I was proud to be able to share the stage with some great poets and musicians local to the area. I also learned a few things about organic farming in a spiritual sense.
I was also interviewed for the publication and asked to return again some time to read. It would be my greatest pleasure. It was the best reading I had done to date.
